| OBIDICUT HELPS MERIDIAN SYSTEMS CONSULTING FIRE-UP PAYMATCH SALES THROUGH WEB SALES-CONFERENCES Portland, OR September 9, 2002 Atlanta-based Meridian Systems Consulting has taken its newest PeopleSoft point-solution product, PayMatch, on the road to clients in New York, Cleveland, St. Louis, Seattle and Dallas in the past few months without booking a single airline ticket. Web conferencing was their ticket-to-ride, facilitated by specialists at Obidicut LLC. "We closed a sale within days after our first PayMatch Web conference, and haven't looked back since," stated Todd Murphy, president of Meridian. "With help from Obidicut, we've been able to present our product anywhere -- at the convenience of our customers -- in a live meeting, where they can probe and ask questions. It's been a great way to increase our geographic reach and expand sales cost-effectively." Meridian's PayMatch product compares payroll runs before and after payroll results, making it much easier for PeopleSoft users to test and upgrade their software. Typical applications include upgrades and conversions of payroll cycles, tax updates, end-of-the-year testing and open enrollment testing. Meridian found that Web conferencing could quickly bring together two key audiences within prospective PayMatch clients the Human Resource users and the Information Technology implementer -- accelerating the product review and purchase-decision process. "Attendees have given high marks to Meridian for both the excellent content of their presentation as well as the effective use of their time using the Web conference medium," stated David Smith, co-founder of Obidicut. "Not only is Meridian closing sales, their prospects also want to be included in future Meridian web conferences," concluded Smith, citing attendee feedback from conference exit surveys. For more information about how Meridian implemented its initial Web conferencing sales campaign, an application story is featured in the latest issue of the Web Seminarian, a Web conferencing e-newsletter, at: www.webseminarian.com/stories/Meridian.html.
